National Foundation for Australian Women (NFAW) is a feminist organisation, independent
of party politics and working in partnership with other women organisations. NFAW is dedicated
to promoting and protecting the interests of Australian women, including intellectual, cultural,
political, social, economic, legal, industrial, and domestic spheres.
We do this by:

- shaping the policy discussions and debates on all issues pertinent to the advancement
of women; - influencing policy and government reforms on all issues pertinent to the advancement of
women; - helping build the capacity of other women’s organisations through financial and strategic
support; and - recording and producing materials relevant to advancing the interests of women for
knowledge preservation.

We are currently seeking three new Board Directors (voluntary) to work alongside our
existing seven Board Directors.
We are particularly keen to hear from people who will bring some of the following
perspectives and experience to the board:

- Are a First Nations (Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander) woman;
- Are a woman of colour (non-White, multicultural);
- Are a young woman under 35 years old;
- Communications, brand and/or marketing;
- Fundraising, philanthropy and/or grant writing;
- Finance and accounting;
- Legal and/or governance and have the interest and potential to take on the Board
Secretary position in the future; and/or - Have the interest and potential to take on Board leadership roles in the future particularly
Chair, Deputy Chair
