Her Excellency, the Governor-General, Sam Mostyn to deliver keynote address at NFAW Annual Dinner.
The National Foundation for Australian Women is delighted to announce that the keynote speaker at our annual dinner on 11 November 2024 will be Her Excellency, the Governor-General, Sam Mostyn. Sworn in on 1 July 2024, Governor-General Mostyn is a passionate and long-term advocate for gender equality.
Most recently, she chaired the Women's Economic Equality Taskforce, delivering a transformative report to the government.
In her inaugural speech, Governor-General Mostyn reflected, “Care has a deep and resonant place in our Australian identity. Care is the gentle thought and the outstretched hand that Australians have always been ready to share when great challenges present themselves. Care is the quieter, better part of ourselves."
NFAW looks forward to an inspiring evening at the National Press Club in Canberra, as we gather to celebrate this shared vision of care, equality, and progress.
