Events
I have been reminded of some events that are worth knowing about.
The first one, and the most important because it is ours, is on the front page of the NFAW website - What women want...the naked truth. This should be a good night - it consists of a panel discussion between Michael Rose, Todd Sampson and Jane Caro - with Catherine Fox acting as moderator.
Of course, you will remember Todd Sampson and Jane Caro from The Gruen Transfer - that wonderful ABC TV program about advertising. We downloaded some of the videos to watch on the new iphone we liked it so much.
But you might not be aware that Jane Caro and Catherine Fox are the authors of The F Word: How we learned to swear by feminism which argues that women can have it all, but at a price.
Michael Rose is a managing partner of Allens Arthur Robinson, a legal firm that was recognised by EOWA (the Equal Oportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency) as a 2008 Employer of Choice for Women.
Some entertaining people who share an interest in women’s issues should make it a stimulating evening. I'll be there, will you?
The other event is one you run yourself. It is The Girls' Night In and is being run as a fundraiser for the Cancer Council.
As a host, all you have to do is invite your girlfriends around to your place for a night in. Then simply have everyone donate the money they would have spent going out, to the Cancer Council.
Register at http://www.girlsnightin.com.au or phone 1300 65 65 85 and the Cancer Council will send you a free host kit with everything you need to organise your night.
Busy busy busy!
